Why

Travel has always been a part of me. Sure, I haven't done too much of it, and yeah as far as travelling goes I've probably done as much as any other average human being. That doesn't matter though. What matters is the fact that I love it. I love living out of a suitcase and sleeping on people's floors. I love driving to an airport and feel a rush when I make it through security in ten minutes.

I think travelling is my calling.

Now I know what you're all thinking right now, "Travelling is everyone's calling. Who doesn't want to see the Eiffel Tower or go on a cruise in the Caribbean."
Okay, you're right. Of course I want to do those things, but that isn't why I want to travel.

Don't get me wrong, luxurious vacations to foreign destination are great and all, but I want to really see other places. I want to experience cultures, and meet locals, and eat authentic cuisine, and go to spots where few people have ventured before. Because, I think that there is so much in this world. So much beauty and light. So many stories and things to learn. So many people to love and teach me things. So many ways to make a difference.

Yeah, it's nice to see landmarks and relax and stay in fancy hotels, but really what's the point?

What's the point of going somewhere if no impact is being made? Because, either someone needs to leave an impact on you, or you need to go out and leave fingerprints of light everywhere you go.

So really, when you think about it, saying that travel is my calling isn't so crazy. It makes sense. It makes sense for me to take my gifts and talents and passion and go into the world and meet new people and teach and be taught.

I'll say again, that travel is my calling. Not the glamour or the luxury, but the beauty and simplicity. The love and the light.
